Statement of Faith

The following statements represent the core theological convictions held at Hello Creative. These beliefs provide a point of reference for the perspective from which our content is created. These convictions are not intended to serve as a litmus test for who is or isn't a follower of Jesus Christ. We recognize that faithful Christians from various traditions may articulate some of these beliefs differently. Rather, this statement is simply offered in the spirit of transparency, helping others understand the biblical convictions that shape our ministry and our commitment to thoughtful, Christ-centered conversations.

The Bible

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, are inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and practice. (2)

One, True God

There is one true God, who is infinitely perfect, and has revealed himself as existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (3)

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct persons who share one divine essence. The Father is neither the Son nor the Spirit; the Son is neither the Father nor the Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son. Yet these three are one God, equal in glory and majesty, deserving of all worship. (4)

Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son of God who became incarnate for our salvation. (5)

The Scriptures declare: His virgin birth, (6) His sinless life, (7) His miracles, (8) and His substitution work on the cross. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust. All who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood, (9) His bodily resurrection from the dead, (10) and His exaltation to the right hand of God. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. (11)

Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, eternal in nature, who is fully God and active in creation, regeneration, sanctification, and the empowerment of God's people. Being intimately involved in the creation, enablement, regeneration and empowerment of mankind, as well as the confirmation of the ministry of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit continues to work powerfully in the Church, producing spiritual fruit, distributing gifts according to His will, and, as He chooses, confirming His work through signs and wonders. (12) He was sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. (13)

All believers should earnestly desire the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in their lives; being “filled with the Spirit”. With the continued “filling” comes the power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry, as the Lord wills. (14) This continuing work is the ongoing experience following the new birth. It is evidenced by an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, a deepened reverence for God, an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, and an active love for Christ, for His Word, and for the lost. (15)

The Fall, Salvation And Sanctification Of Man

Fall: Man was created good, in the image and likeness of God. Man, through voluntary disobedience, fell incurring both physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God. (16) All people are born with a sinful nature and stand guilty before God. Apart from the atoning death and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, they remain separated from God both now and for eternity.

Salvation:God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which is lost. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God and His atoning work accomplished on the cross. Those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone are forgiven, justified before God by grace through faith, born again by the Holy Spirit, and receive the gift of eternal life. By regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, men receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. (18) Inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (19) Outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (20)

Sanctification:It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly. Scriptures teach a life of holiness that by the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to enjoy a life of obedience. (21) Sanctification is an act of separation from sin and the patterns of the world and full dedication to the will of God. Upon regeneration the position of the believer is sanctified, “set apart” to God. (22) Subsequent to regeneration is the progressive experience in the life of the believer to be “set apart” from sin. (23)

The Church: Mission, Ministry And Ordinances

The Church is the Body of Christ and Jesus Christ is the Head of the Body. All who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, are born again of the Holy Spirit and are made part of His Body. (24)

Mission and Ministry: The Body of Christ (the Church) is joined together to; worship God (25), proclaim the gospel, (26) edify up Christ’s followers through the Word of God, prayer and fellowship, (27) and demonstrate God’s love and compassion for all the world. (28) The ministry of the church is overseen through divinely called and scripturally ordained ministries for leading and serving the Lord’s Church. (29)

Water Baptism: All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized in water. This act is a declaration to the world that they have died with Christ and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (30)

Communion: All believers in Jesus Christ celebrate the Lord’s Supper as He commanded. Communion is a memorial of Christ's suffering and death, a proclamation of His saving work, an expression of our fellowship with Him and one another, and a joyful anticipation of His return. (31)

Last Things

Return: Jesus Christ will personally, visibly, and gloriously return to judge the living and the dead and to consummate His kingdom. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. (32)

Resurrection: There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. (33) The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation will be together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord. (34)

Judgment: There will be a final judgment in which the unregenerate will be raised and judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (35) Those who belong to Christ will enjoy everlasting life in the presence of God.

Consummation: We, according to His promise, look forward to a new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (36)
